About Josh

I've given in to the trend. Most bloggers bug me so I'll try my hardest not to be that guy. I'm a journalism grad without an audience. But that won't stop me from putting words next to words and making those oft taken for granted wonders known as SENTENCES. I love my sports, I dig hot jams and I just want to make chicks cry with my words. The Missouri Journalism school is who you'll have to blame if take some umbrage with my musings. Go to their site. Ask for a refund. Then send 50 percent of it to me. They owe me a chunk of change.

That’s right. We have another intern!

Hocking Dr. Pepper. Juicing up. Previewing playoff baseball. What happened to "Detox", Dre?

Round Up the Crew

Rest up that shoulder, gramps. You'll be very useful come October

If you couldn’t tell by my sweet writing and sense of humor, I was quite the casanova in high school. Whenever dance time came around, your boy had like four or five options at his disposal when said formal events were on the horizon. It was always hard letting the ladies down but as that wise and eclectic wordsmith Andre “3K” Benjamin once said: Keep your heart, 3 stacks. Keep your heart.

Actually none of the above is remotely true. High school was a lonely time with a lot of Friday night television watching and few dry spots on my pillow (from tears not the other stuff, sickies). Still I imagine the Cards can sympathize with the above situation when it comes to their pitching staff going into the playoffs. Continue reading

College Football: It’s FANTASTIC!

Reppin' the Zou in his 'do. GET HYPE!

Reppin' the Zou in his 'do. GET HYPE!

What an interesting week in collegiate gridiron. Miami and Florida State opened and closed a week with a whale of a game in prime time on Monday with a Labor Day game that re-ignited the fire of the rivalry for at least one night.

The Tigers cracked the polls while simultaneously sticking it to any and all that thought a step was lost. Terrelle Pryor, who may be the most disgustingly fluid and gifted athlete in America, came down with non-swine flu related oral diarrhea while trying to defend Mike Vick. The Irish and Michigan also both clowned leading to the obligatory and far too premature “Are they officially back?” banter.

And OU took a big hit by losing a potential shot at the title and a potential back-to-back Heisman winner all at the hands of the those Mighty Mormon’s out of BYU.

But that was SO last week. On to week 2. Continue reading

Blueprint 3: Blueprint with a Vengeance

Jay-Z-Blueprint-3

By Josh Mosley

It took more than a year. It took the release of four “first singles.” It took the market place being over-saturated with one P.O.S. Auto-tune joint after another. And after scrapping the original product for a scratch effort, we have come to the release of the final (I think) chapter in the Blueprint franchise: The Blueprint 3.

As a fan of Star Wars, I think the Hov could have come with a subtitle to bring the whole thing home.

Blueprint 3: Return of Hovi
Blueprint Episode 3: A New Hov

Those are just suggestions but you see what I’m saying. Either way, the album got released a few days earlier than it’s previously announced Sept. 11 deadline. Either way, while I expected a little more epicness to this album, Jay came with it on this one. Continue reading

Awards don’t really mean shit. Especially after week one. And recognition only goes as far as what you do with it the next week. With that being said, authoritative types showed Truman and boys some love after a week one clownfest against the Illini. Continue reading
